HOME SCHOOL DANCE PROGRAM

Orlando International School of Dance offers group classes specifically designed for home school students whose parents would like to supplement their academic education with an interactive exposure to the performing arts. 
The Academic program for Home School for dancers ages 10-18 is especially designed for the home school student who has made a full commitment to becoming a dance professional. 
The program gives Preparatory to Pre-Professional students an array of different classes throughout the year that enable students to  learn the fundamentals of dance and explore areas including:
  • Ballet
  • Pointe
  • Repertoire/Terminology
  • Variation
  • Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT)  
  • Yoga/flexibility 
  • Contemporary/Lyrical
  • Tap 
All of our classes are designed to be in a group setting during daytime hours with other home school students, and can serve as a springboard to intensify study through private lessons or specialized programs access to performance skills, audition preparation and professional development. 
Students accepted into the Program attend no less than 18 hours of class per week. 
Students must commit to a full school year (9 1/2 months) of dance studies at the Orlando International School of Dance.
  A typical schedule follows:
Schedule (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu)
9:00 a.m – 3:00 p.m.
